Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Custode ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Custode bracelet, mobile application, and website (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you purchase a bracelet, we also collect your shipping address and payment information.
Location Data
The Custode bracelet collects real-time GPS coordinates of the device wearer. This data is transmitted over a cellular connection and stored on our servers. Location data is the core function of the Service and is only accessible to the account holder (parent or guardian).
Device Data
We collect device identifiers (IMEI), battery level, signal strength, and connection status to ensure the Service operates correctly.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide real-time location tracking to authorised account holders
- To send alerts (geofence, low battery, device offline)
- To process orders and deliver products
- To improve and maintain the Service
- To communicate with you about your account and updates
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers within the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest) to protect your information. Access to location data is strictly limited to authenticated account holders.
4. Data Retention
Location history is retained for 90 days by default. You can delete your location history at any time from the app settings. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service (payment processing, hosting, cellular connectivity) and when required by law.
6. Children's Privacy
Custode is designed for parents and guardians. The bracelet wearer (child) does not have an account. All data is controlled by the parent or guardian who manages the account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may also object to processing or request restriction. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@mycustode.com.
